Hi all, I am going to try this blogging thing again.
My life is getting a little crazy again, not that it wasn't crazy enough. This past year I volunteered to coach my 3rd graders soccer team. Do I know anything about soccer, not really. It has been fun, but very crazy. The commitment was for Fall and Spring. Fall, came and went with little time on the computer. All the free time I had I used to knit. Did a lot of that this year and continue to do so. Spring, I am just getting by on the practices for soccer and we only have 3 games left. I also volunteered in my Kindergarten's computer class. That was only 30 minutes on Wednesday. He enjoyed it, but didn't do what he was supposed to be doing. Wanted Mommy to much. My boys are great.
Knitting has been fun, I have severl WIP going on right now, trying to keep them to a min. My first one is a pair of socks for Mdog. They are red and black stripe cuff down and he wants to have the big toe seperate from the others. They are going slowly. My second WIP is a shawl, Citron, that I started during the Winter Olympics and have not really continued with it. It is rather boring, but I will finish it. The color is gorgeous. My third WIP is another pair of socks fom Zman. His are a simple pair of toe ups with the yarn that he dyed himself, see previous post. My fourth WIP is another shawl, Multnomah, for my aunt. I am actually almost done with this shawl. I am using a purple sock yarn from BFL wool and Tencel combination, with a touch of red to finish of the feather and fan portion. I think my aunt will like it a lot.
So knitting has been going well, have finished several projects and they are on my Ravlery page. What else has been going on? Well, my youngest son Zman is going to be placed on the transplant list for a second liver. His first transplant had some complications and those complications have caused a syndrome that is not letting him get the oxygen into his system that he needs, so we will be heading down the transplant road again. It has been 5 years since his first one and I am not looking forward to the journey we have a head. I am hoping to be able to post my conerns here and to track his progress.
So that is all for now. Take care and hug anyone today.

It has been awhile
I started this blog in hope that I would do a post every day, hasn't worked out quite that way.
The above is what Z and M dyed with Kool Aid on Knit Picks Bare Essentials yarn. They did a good job.
I dyed this with Kool Aid for a Blank Swap on Ravelry, I really love how it came out and will deffinately do this again.
I have done lot of knitting, I joined Ravelery (which is a knitting and crochet community website.) It has been lots of fun, possibly too much fun. So on Ravelry I have joined SoS08 (Summer of Socks) and have knit 4 finished pair and on my way to finishing my 5th. My 5th pair is doing 2 at once on a Magic Loop using the Knit Picks sock blank that was dyed for me in a swap form Ravelry. Again, having too much fun.
My boys M and Z are getting ready to go back to school, we had a great Summer, went to visit Mickey Mouse in Florida and my Aunt, their Mema. They had a great time, Z just loves carnival rides.
So let me see if I can do this, I have pictures for you from my socks and my sock blank that I dyed. My boys also kool aid dyed some plain sock yarn too.

These are my first patterned socks, Monkey by Cookie A, loved doing them.
I have more pictures to show, I will save for tomorrow. I hope you enjoy and I hope to continue this on a regular basis.

Much knitting was done
So this past weekend was Mom's Knitting weekend. Myself and two other moms were away in North Conway at my freind's home for Friday and Saturday nights, to return late on Sunday. Bewtween the three of us this is what we accomplished and tried to accomplish.
Saf finished a beautiful Cable Hat from "Knitting for Dummies." (After thoughts, should have taken some pictures) She "ribbeted" ripped out a garter stich scarf that was a little wide and re cast on. I love the colors.
Sha finished a beautiful Feather and Fan baby blanket for a friend who is having triplets. So she has to do two more, but she has some time. She attempted to do a Fair Ilse hat, but we did not have the right needles and, sadly, there were no LYS near by. So she worked on one of many washclothes.
Side story, Sha and I met on line for a members only board for moms of September babies in 2003. She moved up to my area and we have gotten together every week ever since. Well last year we knitted over 30 scarves for all of our other mom freinds on this board. This year I had a great idea of doing wash or dish clothes. I have about 12 done, Sha has about 5 done. We have about 30 or more to do. I know we will get this done with out a problem, they are easy to knit.
So I finished one of my cloths, made one mitten, and half a scarf. I have been in the process of doing a sock for my husband. I have ripped it out twice now. I, for some reason, can not get the right size for his foot. He has narrow feet, so I think I will do my size sock, just a little longer. That is on hold for now though. He told me the other day he wants Golf Club Covers, so that is what I am researching now for, is a pattern for Golf Club Covers.
When I started to knit I thought I would be able to do Christmas gifts for every body. My first year I did a few things. Mostly scarves and stuff. Last year I did a few less things, there just isn't enough time to do all that you want to do. This year, I am doing Mittens for Z's teachers (there are 3 of them,) 2 scarves for his therapist, a scarf for the secretary of the school (this is still optional,) felted bag for M's teacher, (This is done, except the I cord handle. I am considering lining it, for I found out she is having a baby in March, we will see what time allows.,) I am also planning on a hat for the bus driver for M, he has been really nice to us. It is amazing how many gifts are involved when your kids starting going to school.
I promise, that when I get my act together I will post some pictures. I have some great pictures of a log cabin blanket, and my many cloths. Soon I promise.
So today I am looking for the Golf Club Covers and cleaning up the house from this weekend. Have a great day people and hopefully we will see you tomorrow.
PS THE RED SOX RULE......
It took 86 years for them to win a World Series Championship. I never thought I would see another in my life time. Yee of little faith, Sorry Red Sox. I believe in you..

Welcome to Mom, puttint the knitting down......
Welcome to my blog. Today is the first day of I hope of something exciting and new. (Sounds like the Love Boat)
A little back round on me, I started to knit back in August 2005, when my son Z was in the Hospital. I fell in love with it instantly, and I know my mom is laughing "upstairs." I was one of those girls that, I thought, didn't have a creative gene in her body. I guess it just took some time to grow. I have to admit I am a decent knitter. I have done the usuall beginner knitting, scarves, hats, baby blankets, and afghan or two. I also have been doing socks, toe up and top down. I do like thehttp://wendyknits.net/knit/DetailedToeUp.pdf generic toe up sock with the short row heel and toe.
I will admit I tend to take some of my patterns and take it up a notch and alter them. My intent on this blog is to show you what I am currently knitting and to have some fun. I get so excited about my knitting that I really love to share. I hope you won't mind my manderings, some times I get off topic or round-a-bout it. So please be patient and enjoy.
